Customer Service Representative

To aid in all Customer Service functions of order entry while abiding by the procedures set forth by management.

Responsibilities include:

· Attends work on a regular and predictable basis

· Assists the Customer Service Supervisor in the supervision of all Customer Service Personnel

· Actively participates in the training of all Customer Service personnel including new hires

· Monitors the flow of orders to and from the Customer Service Department

· Deletes, corrects or re-enters patient orders as deemed necessary

· Monitors phone calls to confirm the proper telephone techniques used by Customer Service Personnel

· Perform other duties as assigned


· Ability to read and analyze documents such as patient orders

· Comprehend pharmacy prescription terminology

· Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and patients alike

· Ability to help with the training of employees

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts in reference to frequency and doses dispensed

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions

· Ability to fairly reprimand and verbally discipline employees in according to approved procedures
