### Summary
The incumbent serves as the technical expert in the
multidisciplinary fields of CI, security, information assurance,
force protection, work place violence, law enforcement, and related
subject matter areas as they pertain to insider threat.

### Responsibilities
The incumbent serves as a hybrid insider threat analyst for the DoD
Insider Threat Management and Analysis Center (DITMAC),
Counterintelligence (CI) Directorate, Defense Counterintelligence
and Security Agency (DCSA).
As an Insider Threat Investigations Analyst you will be responsible
for the following duties:
- Establish new or innovative procedures to resolve issues by
applying generally accepted counterintelligence, security, cyber
security, human resources, law enforcement, and other relevant
functional methodologies.
- Extract and organize metrics and statistical data related to
Insider Threat issues.
- Assist in the evaluation of potential insider threat indicators
surfaced during the conduct of personnel security investigations
and/or other law enforcement inquiries.
- Prepare and conduct oral briefings to senior officials.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates
the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies
necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying
experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector
job, and will typically be demonstrated by working at, or
immediately below the level of the job being advertised, for a year
or more. The previous work experience must clearly demonstrate the
application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and
abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the
position.
Specialized experience required for this position is: Knowledge of
research and analytical techniques as applied to difficult and
complex assignments in security, law enforcement, and
counterintelligence analysis, in particular experience reviewing and
interpreting Insider Threat related data and reporting, determining
the proper course of action to mitigate identified risk and tracking
actions through resolution.

### Additional information
DCSA, as a newly designated Defense Agency is undergoing a
multi-year transformation that includes a significant expansion of
predecessor agencies' authorities and responsibilities. Mission
accretion and associated growth in personnel and resources requires
deliberate coordination and planning across operations and support
activities to achieve effective outcomes while simultaneously
establishing and integrating new activities, initiatives and
projects. The new organization will be comprised of nearly 13,000
government and contractor personnel operation throughout the United
States and overseas supporting stakeholders across the federal
government.
Employees Serviced by DLA: Civilian Federal employees who receive
human resources servicing through the Defense Logistics Agency DO
NOT need to submit supporting documentation if applying through
