About the Position: This position is for a Clinical Psychologist
working in the Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic providing
the full scope of evidence based behavioral health treatment
services to patients 18 years of age and older. The clinic is
staffed by Active Duty, Civilian and Contract staff which include
board certified psychiatrists, clinical psychologists,
advanced-practice nurses, etc.

- Provide the full scope of evidence based behavioral health
include initial clinical assessments and ongoing behavioral
health treatments, care and services in an outpatient setting.
- Provide education, training and supervision of psychology,
residents, fellows, and mental health technicians.
- Independently provide individual, family and/or group
- Formulate clinical problem lists and treatment plans consistent
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide treatment to adults using individual and group
accepted theories, principles, and practices; and participates
in multi-disciplinary treatment team collaboration.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience
requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid
experience, including volunteer work done through National Service

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist:
Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related
to full professional work in clinical psychology.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for
this position you must also meet the qualification requirements
License: The Clinical Psychologist position requires a current,
active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology
independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia,
commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. (NOTE: You must provide a
copy of your license with your application package.)
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which
includes working in an outpatient setting providing clinical
assessments and psychiatric care to patients with bio-psycho-social
conditions; utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities to provide
individual and/or group therapy; working as part of a
multidisciplinary team member; and documenting patient medical
records in an electronic system. This definition of specialized
experience is typical of work performed at the next lower
grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

the qualification requirement using experience alone--no
substitution of education for experience is permitted.
