The Position 
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this independent self-starter will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks at Deep North. The position is challenging and offers a pathway to career growth. Excellent opportunity to get exposure to every aspect of the business. The Staff Accountant must conduct business in an honest, ethical manner, complying with company policies and all applicable laws and regulations. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Handle daily accounting tasks in a timely and accurate manner. 

• Responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, employee expense reports and purchase orders.   

• Maintaining a fixed asset system, for tracking computer and other equipment on site and at customers locations 

• Assist with ad‐hoc projects as requested and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes. 

• Assist with improving the documentation, implementation, and maintenance of corporate accounting policies and procedures. 

Job Requirements 

• BA/BS in Accounting preferred 

• 3-5 years of accounting experience in a startup growth environment 

• Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting 

• Self-motivated and self-managed 

• Effective written and verbal communication skills 

• Must be able to prioritize tasks and effectively manage and meet deadlines 

• Experience working with an ERP system, Sage Intacct preferred 

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel as must and other Office applications
