JOB SUMMARYThe Regional Coordinator will ensure the overall functioning of the Day Support centers, which includes client needs, center needs, staff needs, physical plant needs, and performance of job duties. Promote team cohesiveness within the centers. Provide overall supervision to assigned Day Support Services and incorporate racial inclusion and anti-racism into all facets of program development and policy.
TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCEA minimum of a bachelor's degree in a human services field or an equivalent combination of training/education and/or experience is required. Human Services may include social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, psychiatric or vocational rehabilitation, special education, and gerontology. Additional degrees related to the human services field may be considered after a review of the college transcript. A minimum of 5 years of experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities with program development and supervisory responsibilities are required for this position.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS The applicant must submit before hiring a current seven-year driving record and possess a driving record that complies with DePaul policy. Must have and be able to use personal transportation. Must be willing to have a criminal and child protective services (CPS) background report conducted upon hire. The applicant shall not have convictions of any barrier crime(s) on his or her criminal background report. The applicant will have no founded disposition of child abuse or neglect as documented by the CPS background report. A non-negative result from the pre-employment drug screen will terminate the application process or result in termination. Documentation of a PPD test, screening, or chest x-ray indicating the absence of TB must also be submitted. The applicant must obtain certification in First Aid, CPR, and crisis management of challenging behaviors and medication administration and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
