Personal Injury Legal Assistant/Paralegal

DeLoach, Hofstra & Cavonis is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal who has primarily handled Plaintiff personal injury cases from the demand phase up to trial.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in litigation/litigation support. Willing to train an eager leaner for the injury paralegal position.
• Must be someone who embraces the use of technology while working primarily in a paperless practice area environment.
• Must have at least 5-years’ experience using MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Pro;
• Works well both independently and as part of a team.
• Medical records review and summary experience preferred but not required;
• Must have excellent customer service skills with a heart for serving our client’s needs

Job Description

The Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal will support the Board-Certified Civil Litigation attorney from demand phase up to trial. Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

• Review and summarize all medical records;
• Draft demands;
• Handle notices of non-party production/responses;
• Draft mediation summaries;
• Negotiate medical bills and liens post-settlement;
• Schedule depositions and mediations.

Compensation

• This is a non-exempt position and compensation is commensurate with PI litigation experience.
