DeKalb Area Retirement Center - Oak Crest is seeking an accomplished Executive Director. Oak Crest is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) with a reputation as the senior living community of choice in the DeKalb, Illinois area. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and experience with large capital expenditures, renovations, and expansion projects. The ideal leader will be engaging and have a track record of developing and maintaining excellent resident and staff relations and will continue to develop and drive the vision of the organization and community.

Oak Crest boasts a thirty-acre campus nestled in the heart of a tree-filled rural residential community near a large city and a state university. Oak Crest serves 250 residents across 37 independent duplexes, 116 independent apartments, 21 assisted living apartments and a 73 bed Medicare certified health center. Oak Crest's distinction as an OSHA SHARP (Safety Health Awareness and Recognition Program) organization makes it one of the thirty businesses in the state of Illinois and the only continuing care retirement community to receive this recognition.

Examples of responsibilities and qualifications:

• Carries out the policies of the Board of Trustees.
• Provides leadership and direction to staff to fulfill the mission of the Center.
• Administers the financial activities of the Center, assesses financial performance, and ensures the organization's long-term sustainability.
• Represents the Center at appropriate professional organizations.
• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study; Master's Degree preferred.
• Requires a minimum of three-five years' experience in long-term care services.
• Must possess a valid Illinois Nursing Home Administrator's license or the ability to obtain such status within one year.
