This is a great opportunity for an individual with 4+ years of B2B event marketing experience to join an exciting and fast-growing software company in Silicon Valley. Your entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach will be essential in driving the event strategy forward.
As the event marketing manager, you will play a key role in driving demand-gen as well as accelerating pipeline development for sales. Youll plan and execute digital and in-person events and other activities that build brand awareness. Youll work to evaluate event investments and orchestrate programs that increase attendance, engagement, and interest.
The right candidate will have expert organizational, project management, and reporting skills with keen attention to detail. This person will be responsible for competitive event analysis, pre-event logistics, on-site set-up, and successful execution. Youll also develop operational KPIs, post-event follow-ups, and event success training.
Your Role
Own the overall planning and execution of events (including thought leadership events, large tradeshows, internal events, client and customer events, and other sponsored events).
Manage planning and execution of ancillary events such as dinners/meetups
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to execute the company's vision and business objectives at events
Perform other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
Planning and Execution
Lead booth design and layout in accordance with marketing and sales strategy, brand guidelines, and budget
Work with Product and Content Marketing to ensure messaging for each event is on target and related collateral is planned and available at the booth
Create and manage tradeshow and events budget including tracking, reporting, initiating contract/procurement process, and ensuring timely payment of vendors
Negotiate contracts with venues, event organizers, and vendors to meet business needs
Order venue services as needed (electrical, internet, inbound/outbound shipping, etc.)
Research new event options and gather information to assess the relevance of the show for the target audience, messaging, etc.
Work as a cross-functional project manager with other corporate departments within the company as well as external vendors to drive the event deliverables and lifecycle
Create, manage, and own tradeshow and events timeline/project plans
Travel to trade show event locations and lead booth install, break down, and on-site booth management (as needed)
Logistics
Ensure internal SMEs properly staff events
Manage badge registration and travel logistics were needed
Manage creation and shipping of marketing collateral (swag)
Communication
Work with internal stakeholders to set tradeshow objectives and clearly communicate goals, expectations, and responsibilities to stakeholders/vendors/attendees
Work with internal teams to create attendance and staffing plan for trade shows and events
Work with PR/demand gen team to coordinate and determine social media promotions (pictures, hashtags, swag, etc.)
Schedule and lead regular trade show and event planning meetings
Provide regular status communications to stakeholders
Work with the Field Sales team to ensure they know of all planned activities well in advance so they can participate with their customers
Reporting
Evaluate, measure, and report on all marketing activity effectiveness and ROI.
Requirements
Bachelors degree
3+ years experience in B2B events marketing for technology products
