About the Role:

 

We are looking for an ambitious, articulate, high-energy Account Executive that will be responsible for growing our business through selling cyber insurance policies to small and medium-sized businesses through full cycle sales. This position will work to identify, understand, and consult SMBs to help them understand how important cyber insurance is to their business’s cyber risk strategy and that DataStream, with our approach to integrating cyber insurance and technology, should be their go-to resource to buy it.


You will work closely with our marketing and channel sales teams to help identify potential customers from the network of Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Cyber Product firm’s referral partners (collectively known as “The Channel”).

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle from outreach to close; engage and align effectively in C-level meetings with SMB prospects, actively listen to understand business objectives and challenges, and align our insurance products to achieve their goals
  • Manage and report accurate forecast and pipeline, achieve sales goals quarterly
  • Establish an effective partnership with Operations, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams
  • Perform initial review and analysis of coverage
  • Present client presentations when needed
  • Bind terms with underwriters and secure outstanding items from clients as needed
  • Coordinate the renewal process and keep on track through renewal
  • Acknowledge and respond to client inquiries on a timely basis, coordinating with the appropriate team members as needed
  • Research and address client administrative issues. Provide an initial review of more complex issues

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Prior insurance industry experience is preferred, ideally with Cyber, Technology, or Professional Liability lines, but candidates with more general business sales will also be considered
  • 2 -4 years of relevant combined experience in sales
  • Familiar with key sales tools: Salesforce.com, Outreach.io, etc.
