Sales Development Representatives
A Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for scheduling and ensuring the completion of introductory monthly meetings with Data Society prospects. SDRs are expected to grow a pipeline of prospects with regular nurture-oriented tasks aimed at moving leads through low-level engagement, transitioning into Sales Qualified Leads (SQL), and ultimately a completed introduction. All generated SQLs must be regularly combed and nurtured in addition to cold prospecting work. SDRs are measured by their success in hitting On Target Metrics (OTM) goals.
SDRs will make at minimum quotient of weekly cold calls and emails to a list of prospective leads. Upon successful engagement and expressed interest to speak with Data Society, the SDR will introduce an Account Executive (AE) and will stay involved with the transaction until the introduction has been successfully completed. No-shows and rescheduled meetings are to be handled by the SDR.
The SDR position offers plenty of opportunity for growth with the potential to move into an account manager role. SDRs will be expected to build a portfolio of engaged prospects within 6 to 10 months. SDRs will work to transition in an AE role and work jointly with existing AEs until fully able to run introduction, discovery, and negotiation stages of the sales process independently.
Responsibilities
  • Mining, researching, vetting, and targeting a set of new contacts weekly
  • Qualify prospects on timing, budget, and buying-authority during initial engagements
  • For qualified prospects, SDRs will seek to schedule follow-up introductory, nurturing, or a discovery calls
  • If a prospect is qualified but not in a consideration stage, the SDR will be responsible for setting regular nurturing tasks in the CRM (at least one touch point per every two months).
  • SDR's are responsible for delivering nurture resources to prospects. Panels, online seminars, and networking events conducted by Data Society should be leveraged on an individual basis with the end-goal of establishing a trust and value-driven relationship.
  • SDRs should work strategically and tactically to regularly move prospects along the pipeline.
  • Maintain an orderly and well-kempt HubSpot account, including completing scheduled daily tasks, keeping contacts with an assigned next task, keeping clear and actionable notes, and filled fields to ensure a transition to AE stage is smooth.
  • Prepare for weekly meetings with clear vision of monthly metrics and adopting a nimble strategy to help stay on track toward OTM.
