Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Department of Psychiatry, in a unique collaboration with the State of New Hampshire, seeks a senior physician leader to serve as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of New Hampshire Hospital (NHH), our affiliated state psychiatric facility, located in Concord, NH.

The NHH CMO will serve as the chief clinical officer of New Hampshire Hospital. The NHH CMO is part of the Senior Leadership of the Department of Psychiatry and a faculty member of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. The CMO will work closely with the Chair to lead the Department and to further extend the established state-academic partnership. The role will include supporting and facilitating excellent clinical care, supporting New Hampshire Hospital’s function as an outstanding teaching and training site, and facilitating research activities that serve the mission of both New Hampshire Hospital and the Department.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Demonstrate a passion for high-quality public sector care
  • Lead the clinical care at New Hampshire Hospital and other sites of care covered by the State contract
  • Serve an important leadership role in the Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth
  • Directly lead the medical staff

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Board Certified Psychiatrist;
  • Seven to ten years of increasingly responsible experience in healthcare including at least five years of leadership experience in an academic medical setting
