Director, Public Relations/Brand and Social Media Strategy

Pall Corporation is seeking high-impact, collaborative candidates for the role of Director, PR/Brand and Social Media Strategy. The new Director will assume global responsibility for media strategy and programs including public relations and social media integration. This role also encompasses brand campaign creation and implementation, supporting the evolution of Pall’s corporate brand strategy. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Communications, this position is part of a newly formed and highly driven global marketing team that values accountability, intellectual curiosity, creativity, and the cultivation of team chemistry, within a diverse matrixed organization.

This role can be based in Westborough, MA, Port Washington, NY or Remote - East Coast Preferred
  • Media strategy and programs
  • Develop communications and media relations programs that drive media pick-ups, customer engagement, and brand awareness
  • Manage PR campaigns that align with market segment strategy to drive overall portfolio growth; partner with agencies/vendors to generate press releases and editorials
  • Collaborate with global marketing team to craft channel-specific media plans, ensuring content is delivered within a cohesive brand story
  • Monitor and report on campaign metrics to maximize marketing effectiveness and drive ROI; use metrics to drive continuous improvement of programs
  • Maximize major media opportunities by managing preparation for and execution at events/trade shows, including onsite orchestration of press conferences, interviews, and social media coverage
  • Build a strategy and drive increased social channel usage (working content owners) to build presence on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Develop a strong industry network to create influence with strategic advocates, leading efforts to collect voice of customer (VOC), conduct key opinion leader (KOL) interviews, and obtain customer testimonials
  • Optimize global PR engagement by working across regions to develop and/or adapt programs; share and implement standard methodologies
  • Support internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and global marketing campaign owners by driving initiatives that strengthen brand awareness/perception and stimulate qualified lead generation
  • Help design and execute approach to collecting VOC around brand positioning and messaging
  • Partner with internal communications team to identify alignment and champion complementary initiatives
  • Refresh and expand brand guidelines to enhance copywriting and standardize naming conventions; ensure global compliance
  • Establish and maintain ownership of brand review process and standardize globally; gain regional consensus, train associates

  • 7 - 10 years in media and/or brand management, with minimum 5 years in PR or corporate communications
  • Bachelor’s degree required (marketing or communications preferred)

  • Write press releases and editorials, crafting inputs from internal and external executives
  • Manage agency relationships to agree on scope of work and deliver results on time and within budget
  • Build and sustain meaningful relationships with KOLs/SMEs
  • Run press conferences, handle media inquiries and interview requests
  • Project management skills: strong collaborative approach with proven accountability for deliverables

Ideal candidate has:
  • Creative, open mind, yet is task-focused and detailed
  • Interest in balancing critical thinking with hands-on tactical execution
  • Ability to work independently and comfortably with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a global matrix environment
  • Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or pharmaceuticals, including product launch support, is highly valued
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
