Dalsin Industries is hiring an experienced Mechanical Engineer to help develop, validate, re-evaluate and improve production processes and manufacturing capabilities for efficient fabrication of parts, assemblies, and finished products. This position will work closely on our Memphis Wood Fire Grill, which is the premium brand in the fastest growing segment of the barbecue grill industry.

Provide basic CAD layout on customer parts and develop CNC machine codes and shop prints required to fabricate parts. Provide new product designs and tooling designs through interaction with customers and account management to create part designs that meet customer requirements. Work with our Memphis Grill Division on our consumer product, Memphis Wood Fire Grill.
Education and Experience:
BS in Engineering, (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years current Engineering experience
Experience in Electro-Mechanical Design Engineering is a plus
Minimum of 2 years current Solid Works experience
Sheet metal design experience preferred
Experience working within a manufacturing environment with extensive knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing principles and processes preferred (punch, bend, welding, etc.)
Knowledgeable and/or experienced with Consumer Products
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge and skills in reading blueprints and detailed schematics, technical writing, and troubleshooting
Strong assembly design skills
Strong project management and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and complete work in a timely manner with deadlines
Good analytical skills
Effective team building skills and ability to work well with others
Interest in cooking, grilling, food is a plus
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with design of assigned product lines and applications
Prepare necessary design modifications, to include drawings, product structures and product documentation utilizing CAD program and other applicable programs
Adhere to engineering standards, specifications, and practices
Advise and assist manufacturing on assembly or programming processes and products.
Design, maintain, and generate fixture designs for manufacturing processes and inspection
Actively work with Production to define improvements in work stations/processes and conduct Continuous Improvement (CI) projects
Drawings and Production-related documentation: generate drawings from new and revised designs; generate packaging requirements; and assemble job router packets
CAD Work: maintain accurate and consistent part information on computer files.
Ability to investigate and integrate electrical components into finished assembly from a design perspective including appropriate certifications for final product
Ability to rapidly address design changes and respond to manufacturing concerns
Help troubleshoot field issues
Work with Marketing on product roadmap
Ability to travel on a limited basis
