Job Description


The Project Manager - Manufacturing manages a variety of accounts, projects, evaluates new plans, various procedures in the production process, and maintains communication with partners and customers. The project manager works to understand the needs of the customers and fulfill their requests. In addition, the project manager has responsibilities in the manufacturing facility, ensuring projects are running smoothly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with internal Sales team, partners and customers to prepare project specifications.
  2. Monitor and report on project progress. Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions. Maintaining project scope, goals, and deliverables
  3. Work with project team to complete formal stage gate signoff’s
  4. Plan for and resolve unexpected delays, production issues or schedule recovery options.
  5. Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  6. Develop and monitor project timeline, milestones, and compliance to established contracts.
  7. Review and find replacements for rejected products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
  8. Provide project direction; generate product design changes; generate workspace layout modification of existing production standards to achieve optimum quality and efficiency. May include conducting time studies and Lean evaluation, as well as assisting in rearranging work cells, inventory, etc.
  9. Work with management, production, or sales staff to discuss project specifications or procedures.
  10. Performs other duties as requested.
  11. Review performance to plan, understand gaps, supplier issues, quality issues and delivery issues.
  12. Review Financial metrics, Rev $/DL Hr, Margin $/DL Hr, VPH, variable margin, P&L, Cashflows, ROI, IRR, NPV, Payback
  13. Document learning and implement resolutions for future projects.
  14. Ensure stakeholders satisfaction

Knowledge and Skill

Bachelor’s degree in Management or similar field. Minimum of two years of experience as a project manager or in a similar position.

The position may spend some time on the manufacturing floor. The employee performs local work-related travel to different plants. The position may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use such as safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes or work boots, as required on job site. May require safety vest.
