Department: DLF Community Leadership & Economic Mobility

Reports to: Community Leadership & Economic Mobility Director

 

 

About the Dallas Leadership Foundation: The Dallas Leadership Foundation is a faith-based 501 (c) 3 organization that connects diverse organizations to identify, affirm and develop leaders to transform communities.

 

Job Summary: Under the broad supervision of and working directly with the Director of Community Leadership of Dallas Leadership Foundation, the Community Leadership Coordinator is the principal staff member responsible for implementing community events, neighborhood rehabilitation projects, managing warehouse materials, managing the tool loaning program, and overseeing DLF properties/facilities management.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet with partner organizations to ascertain expectations.
  • Meet with community leaders to locate possible community projects.
  • Function as a bridge between partner neighborhoods and local schools.
  • Perform project management of community events.
  • Work with leaders from partnering organizations to promote and raise funds for the community development projects.
  • Create weekly progress reports for the supervisor.
  • Create weekly to-do.
  • Train, nurture and motivate community leaders and other volunteers connected with projects.
  • Manage warehouse facilities.
  • Manage the maintenance of DLF properties.
  • Drive or learn to drive DLF owned 24 ft truck.
  • Provide support logistics during the Treasures of Hope program.
  • Attend local and regional church mission conferences, fairs, and Sunday schools as assigned.
  • Facilitate all gifts-in-kind, e.g. real estate, estates, vehicles, stocks, etc.
  • Be comfortable developing and facilitating training and presentations in front of small and medium-size groups.

 

Qualifications:

  • A mature Christian with experience in ministry service, either full-time or in a volunteer capacity.
  • Understands and practices principles of Biblical equality dealing with class, race and gender.
  • Computer literate, able to navigate software programs, databases, and office equipment.
  • Strong verbal, writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • A teachable spirit and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • An undergraduate degree is required
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus Able to organize, prioritize, and work well with others.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver license
  • Ability to operate small panel truck
