Front Desk Supervisor/Manager of Duty

This position is primarily responsible for overseeing employees to assure all policies and procedures are accurately followed by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Also assists guests by making them feel welcome, as well as solving any issues or concerns they may have. Also works with all property departments efficiently.

One yearn front desk supervisory experience strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUES AD RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Department scheduling
  • Assist with rentals, group reservations
  • Works closely with Housekeeping to ensure quality control, linen ordering and room supplies
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
  • Maintains complete knowledge of a) All resorts facilities/services b) All guest room layouts, bed types, and decor c) Room availability for any given day d) Restricted dates, rates, and room types e) All room rates, packages, and promotions f) Special arrangements between resort and travel agencies.
  • Assists front desk staff in all aspects as well as checking in guests, answering phones, etc.
  • Anticipates guests' needs, responds promptly, resolves guest complaints, ensures guest satisfaction within a timely manner.
  • Maintains positive guest relations at all times.
  • Monitors and responds to all emergency situations
  • Cooperates with Marketing Department and Sales
  • Works directly with money handling and preparing bank deposits; checks and balances
  • Manages occupancy and inventory control with Revenue and Resort management
  • Control of group reservations, assignments and communication with team leaders
  • Answers telephone calls and ascertains callers'needs through open-ended questions
  • Performs Night Audit functions as needed
