Operations Engineer - OFMW

The successful candidate will work with a team to maintain system performance and stability of some of the most important applications to our customer in an Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFMW) environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Full software lifecycle support; Operations, Maintenance, and Enhancements;
Operating and maintaining large enterprise class solutions using Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFMW) technologies to include: Oracle DB, Weblogic, OEM, SOA, BPM, WebCenter Portal, UCM, etc.
Identify, analyze, and resolve system problems and provide root cause analysis (RCA);
Continually enhance operations and monitoring to improve reliability and uptime;
Perform routine software maintenance;
Provide support for Linux Servers and Infrastructure, both on on-site and cloud hosted;
Address security vulnerabilities;
Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures;
Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer Information Technology managers;
Provide technical leadership to the team;
Manage maintenance schedule and prevent scheduling conflicts;
Document and demonstrate complex solutions by developing documentation;
Work with project manager or product owner to meet project needs;
Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency;
Collaborate with other developers to operate, maintain and enhance software systems;
Assist with ongoing automation, migration and virtualization projects while continuing to migrate to the cloud (AWS);

Previous experience in Java software development;
Experience with Oracle database, and SQL queries;
Proven experience in meeting SLAs for large production systems and guiding operations team for root cause analysis and resolving problems;
Ability to coordinate and execute so that project activities and deliverables are accomplished within schedule;
Must be self- driven and have the ability to collaborate with in a small distributed team;
Be ready for working evenings and weekends when required for scheduled maintenance activities and unplanned emergencies;
Must have strong working knowledge of the software lifecycle including the design, development, test &
implementation of systems solutions touching on a wide variety of technologies;
Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills;

Nice to Have:
Experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle WebLogic, OAM/OID, OEM, APEX Configurations;
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field;
Experience in developing complex system IT solutions;
Hands on experience supporting Oracle database deployments/upgrades on Linux platforms;
Experience with static and dynamic code analysis and tools such as Veracode;
Experience in troubleshooting Oracle platform configuration, Application, and infrastructure issues;
Understanding on Architecture and infrastructure (servers);
Experience with Apache and, opatch;
Have knowledge of ITSM/ITIL processes;
Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, SQL, Kubernetes, AWS, or other programming languages/technologies;
Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server, XSD, WSDL, REST, WADL.
