A Day in the Life of an Office Assistant

As an Office Assistantyou use your exceptional customer service and administrative skills to keep the front office running smoothly. You sit at our bright and spacious front desk where you greet visitors and answer phones. In addition, you assist multiple departments with a variety of administrative tasks such as data entry, ordering office supplies, typing documents, filing, laminating and handling mail.

We're a small team where everyone wears multiple hats. You enjoy the opportunity to multi-task and are not overly concerned with changing priorities. Customers and visitors are always the number one priority and their presence is never viewed as an inconvenience.

You are comfortable with self-management and working independently. However, you understand that frequent communication with your manager regarding workload and project details is key to success. You report to the HR Manager so an interest in HR project work is nice to have, but not required.


  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3+ years' previous experience working in an office setting highly desired
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly productive, self-motivated, passionate, creative, and focused
  • Able to move quickly, independently and juggle multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Love for continuous learning and desire to embrace new challenges
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organization abilities (physical and electronic spaces)
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Work Schedule

This is a Monday - Friday position typically working 1:30pm-4:30pm.Since this position covers our front desk area standard hours in the afternoon are needed. Occasional flexibility for personal needs is supported.
