Job description

DSA Logistics is looking for a hardworking Warehouse Supervisor that will be responsible for overseeing the general operations of a warehouse and it's staff.  Supervisor will perform an array of duties -- receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock and other.  The Warehouse Supervisor must make decisions regarding the transfer of incoming and outgoing inventory, be alert, ambitious, hard-working, detail-oriented, and accurate.

Job duties and responsibilities

• Strategically supervise warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
• Supervise deliveries, receiving and tracking shipments
• Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
• Audit and report inventory; reconcile with WMS or data storage system
• Tag and label products
• Communicate with third party logistics companies and drivers, setting up outbound shipping appointments
• Prepare all orders for shipment
• Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items
• Assist with training of newly employed workers
• Scanning and entering data into WMS system
• Run daily/weekly/monthly reports for management and customer reports
• Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
• Confer and coordinate activities with other departments

Job requirements and qualifications

• Detail oriented and accurate
• Previous working experience as a Warehouse Supervisor for 2 years
• Hands on experience with inventory and logistics software programs
• Great physical stamina and manual dexterity
• Team player
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem solver
• Forklift Operation Certification will be considered an advantage
• Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and safely

This is a salary position $50k/year
