Quality Assurance Analyst

The QA Analyst is responsible for working with end-to-end test plans; executing said plans and managing all activities in said plans to ensure that all the objectives are met and that solutions work as expected. The solutions (websites, web banners, emails, web applications, mobile applications, and other digital products) should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems. To make sure that testing is well defined, planned and executed the analyst ensures every phase and feature of the software solutions are tested and that any potential issue(s) are identified and fixed before the product goes live.
Responsibilities:
· Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables
· Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan
· Develop, document and maintain functional test cases
· Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members
· Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately
· Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
· Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
Requirements:
· Creative solving of technical problems – to ensure the ability translate technical requirements test plans
· Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables – ensures the ability to find the bad defects and bugs quickly
· Ability to think abstract – to ensure ability to not conform to the norm. Norms do not find bugs quickly.
· Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases. To communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders
· Solid understanding of software development life cycle
· Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of software solution being tested
· Optional experience in marketing and advertising
· Optional experience with Atlassian JIRA
· Optional experience with Agile methodologies
· 3+ years of relevant QA technical experience
· Ability to create clear, concise detail-oriented test plans/cases
· Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications
· Liaison with development, project management, and customer support
