Our private substance abuse and mental health counseling practice is seeking experienced therapists who are able to work independently with minimal supervision. We are a mental health and substance abuse outpatient facility for inmates recently released from prison. The majority of our clients are actively involved in their treatment due to receiving time off from their respective sentences and have successfully completed a residential SA therapeutic treatment program while incarcerated. Our program assists clients who have achieved sobriety while completing a strenuous substance abuse treatment program in prison and who need continued treatment to support their progress toward long term recovery. This is work that brings with it the clinical satisfaction of assisting individuals re-enter back to the community and develop a sober and prosocial lifestyle free of any further substance abuse issues or criminal thinking behavior
Your commitment to professional and quality client care will assist clients with their personal progress by providing support through individual and group counseling sessions, biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, monthly progress reports and discharge planning. Applicant must be detailed oriented in maintaining accurate clinical notes and other documentation on a timely basis to keep medical records current.
Applicant must be licensed to practice in the State of California holding one of the following: LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or CADAC substance abuse certification. Additional requirements are computer literacy utilizing Google Chrome, Google Calendars, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF to generate compliant reports throughout treatment and to coordinate patient schedule and availability. We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently but is willing to be part of a cohesive team when necessary.
This is an opportunity for therapists to work in our local office in Oakland, CA as an independent contractor with a competitive hourly rate. As an independent contractor you can choose to work as many or as few hours as you wish. We do however require a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week to be made available to work at our organization.
Position requires keeping your notes current as well as ensuring your monthly reports are completed by the end of the month. For individual counseling: practice clinical standards such as treatment planning, discharge planning, maintaining accurate documentation, timely report submission, bio-psychosocial assessments, monthly treatment plan reviews and documenting sessions with clinical notes.
