DLVR features offices in Seattle and Phoenix and here is your opportunity to join a well-funded, established startup as our first Data Scientist. The ideal candidate has at least 3-5 years of experience as well as the ability and drive to lead this function in their next role. You prefer to work in a small team, and are excited to build a high throughput and highly available system.
BS, MS or PhD degree in a quantitative discipline (applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, operations research, or related field)
Experience as a Programmer - Python, Perl, Java, and/or C++
Good Knowledge of SQL (1-2 years) creating advanced queries in a high impact role
Experience utilizing and presenting both qualitative analysis (e.g., content analysis, phenomenology, hypothesis testing) and quantitative analysis techniques (e.g., clustering, regression, pattern recognition, descriptive and inferential statistics)
Experience in collaborating across multiple job functions (engineering, product, sales) directly to understand their requirements and provide data which can help them observe patterns and spot anomalies
Understanding of modern video network protocols (HLS/Dash)
You are a critical thinker with the ability to question the convention and consider multiple scenarios.
Experience with Pandas, Scikit and/or TensorFlow
