Position Overview

Our company is experiencing rapid growth operating in the nutritional supplement and health manufacturing sector. We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This is a fast-paced working environment with strong leadership, a highly motivated team, and fun but challenging projects and tasks. 

The most successful candidate will exhibit passion for our business and company mission, be a team player, propose innovative solutions to challenging situations, and lean on their foundational background to solve complex GAAP and tax matters. He or she will play a critical supporting role to the Controller, finance channel leaders and accounting staff. This is a full-time salaried position.

Essential Job Functions

  • Proactively track and maintain timely compliance with all regulated tax filings including personal and real property, sales and use, GST, and business income
  • Own classes of transactions from preparation of month-end journal entries to account reconciliations and analytical review for assigned suite of accounts
  • Act as direct liaison to our auditors, tax preparers and business consultants and assist with audit and tax compilation requests
  • Utilize technical GAAP knowledge to ensure accuracy of financial reporting, including complex journal entries and confidential or sensitive information 
  • Research technical accounting matters and review the business impact of new or proposed standards
  • Prepare settlement entries for acquisitions, divestitures or changes in investor interest as needed
  • Manage our transfer pricing strategy and accounting methodology for related party transactions
  • Communicate pre-board meeting materials to Controller and CFO for owned processes
  • Develop or maintain sound principles around internal control
  • Build or enhance standard working procedures that can be easily followed and replicated
  • Perform routine tasks as well as ad hoc projects


  • CPA preferred; minimum 5 years prior working experience in applying advanced knowledge of technical GAAP or tax code
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities and carry out day-to-day responsibilities with little or no supervision
  • Strong accounting and ERP skills
  • Outstanding Excel skills and proficiency in Word is required, PowerPoint skills a plus
