Job DescriptionCHIEF INFORMATION OFFICERAmerica's Christian Credit Union$557M AssetsGlendora, CAAmerica's Christian Credit Union (ACCU) is searching for a new chief information officer (CIO). This position is open due to the current CIO's retirement at the end of June 2021. ACCU's membership primarily consists of churches, ministries, and schools aligned with Wesleyan Christian doctrine; their ministers, employees, members/attendees, officers, teachers, students, and others associated with these organizations qualify for membership.
ACCU's mission is to build stronger ministries, families, communities, and futures. The CIO is expected to attend community events (both religious and non-religious) and be comfortable talking to a diverse range of individuals, including pastors and members of local churches.The CIO reports to the president/CEO and owns the efficient and stable operation of day-to-day IT activities, and the execution of the credit union's technology and... information strategies.
As a strategic business leader, the CIO is accountable for ensuring that IT is always working on the highest-value strategic, innovative, and tactical business needs, delivering on time, within budget, and with expected quality and performance.The CIO drives efficiencies through the use of technology and information systems to maximize the organization's use of data. A key responsibility of the CIO is to deliver increasing technology value for ACCU, ensuring that the appropriate technology platforms and solutions are delivered for solving business problems and improving ROI and performance.Candidates must effectively communicate with key stakeholders and departments. The CIO must communicate complex information clearly and concisely and combine strong technical competence with broad business acumen.
As the CIO, you will maintain oversight of all technology projects, ensuring that scope and budget commitments are met with proper planning and staffing and understand/manage risks that the IT area presents to the business.A four-year degree or equivalent experience is required; candidates must have 5 years of experience in an operational or data processing position in a financial institution. Prior senior leadership experience and strong supervisory skills are required. Top candidates will have enthusiasm and curiosity for new technology, products, and services.
