Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for an organized and efficient Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our growing business. As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will pack the goods in shipping containers, develop mailing labels and shipping documents, and ensure all orders have been filled correctly. Our ideal candidate is attentive, energetic and hardworking with Shipping & Receiving experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
  • Document discrepancies between shipping/receiving records and physical counts of stock.
  • Receive, count, and verify incoming orders.
  • Label stock items with labeling equipment such as identification tags or stamps.
  • Pack and unpack items for storage in stockrooms, storage yards or warehouses.
  • Operate machinery for moving stock items, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, moving heavy object(s) and using machinery (heat sealers, band saw, etc.).
  • Process shipping requests, requisitions, job orders, and damaged or defective stock per company protocol.
  • Prepare documents and reports for transactions (WAWF) or regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for ensuring work areas are kept clean and organized.
  • Enforces DCX-CHOL Enterprises policies and safety practices.
  • Participates in training, safety and quality programs.
  • Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
  • Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stacks receivables.
  • Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
  • Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Ability to solve problems swiftly with little or no direct supervision.
  • Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock; receiving, stocking and stacking; pulling, packing and loading.
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
  • Forklift certification within 90 days of job entry date.
  • Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and capable of routinely bending to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Literacy in computer operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Competent in the daily tasks to meet his/her job duties acquired from on the job training.
  • Experience in a shipping & receiving role or department.


TAR REQUIREMENTS:

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorization from the U.S. Department of State.
