Machine Operator I CA

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Set up/ operator of CNC milling machines.

Key Performance Indictors: List two to five measurable tasks that are key to indicating the performance level in this role:

• Set up and run CNC Milling machines
• Operates machine according to established procedures and process parameters.
• Inspects product and records quality and manufacturing data as required.
• Manufactures product per customer requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ability to fallow procedures from the CNC programmer to develop work set ups and tooling ready for our milling machines.
• Ability to read and hold tolerances to +/- .001
• Ability in, touching up cutting tools and entering length values into the CNC machines offsets such as End Mills, Drills, understanding of practical shop mathematics, precision gauges.
• Have Geometric and drawing dimensioning comprehension training or certification is a plus
• Requires minimum of 3 years’ experience setting up and operating CNC Machines
• Work to support Company’s manufacturing parts/fixtures for cable and connectors assemblies
• Be able to inspect & measure own parts using micrometers, calipers, comparator, gage blocks etc.
• Have experience working with different types of materials such as Aluminum, Steel, plastics, Brass etc.
• Keep work area clean
• Change machine coolant when needed
