Engineering Technician

We are privately held American owned Small Business made up of five (5) vertically integrated manufacturing and assembly divisions, each with their own history, specializations and products.
We are looking for dependable, fast paced, hard-working individuals with experience as a Electronics Engineering Technician with the following qualifications and experience:
Electronics Engineering Technician duties include: performing routine technical functions related to the support of test engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, root cause analysis, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog and digital type circuits. Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, and simple developmental engineering tasks. Utilize routine development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, VOM, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus. Utilize Labview Test systems , MPT , and Cirris wiring analyzers
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of connectors, electro-mechanical products and related manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge and experience in writing and reviewing First Article Test (FAT) procedures, QAP’s, and ATP’s
- Reports issues, re-test and also conduct functional, regression, exploratory testing of products
- Experience in assembly, and test of PCB’s
- Competence with power tools
- Familiarity in PIC microcontrollers and LabView test systems
- Must rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines along with experience and judgment to plan and perform job duties; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Knowledge of electronic components such as, switches, relays, reed switches, and transistor switches
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree in a related specified area or the equivalent of 2-5 years experience in Electronics Engineering. Must be proficient in using test equipment DMM’s, oscilloscope, Network analyzer, and power supplies. Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering or similar major
- Methodical design, testing and troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States.
- High level of integrity and strong ethical values are foundational requirements. No Relocations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with Labview, MPT/Cirris Wiring Analyzers
- Strong Hardware debugging skills
- RF Test equipment knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of MIL Specifications such as MIL-STD 810 commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures.
