DCS is looking for an S&T Adviser to support maturation for the Open Innovation Lab scheduled for Initial Operational Capability in October 2020 and help chair the newly created Agile Rapid Capabilities Integrated Project Team. Position is on-site at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD supporting an Army Project Manager.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelors in Engineering or technical degree and 12 years of experience required.
Must have an active Secret level clearance (Top Secret desired).
Must have experience working in a Program Office and working with the DoD Science and Technology community.
Must understand the requirements to transition S&T capabilities into products.
Must have an engineering background and/or an expert technical understanding of positioning, navigation, and timing systems.
Needs to be a self-starter, willing to roll up sleeves in order to work with individuals from varied backgrounds (functional expertise) in order to get things done.
Must be able to assist the PM in his mission to provide optimal and affordable Positioning, Navigation, and Timing capabilities with designs, products and solutions that promote decisive action in All Army Operations.
Must be willing to be a key contributor to the PM’s vision of being the premier resource for Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT), delivering integrated PNT capabilities that positively affect the Battlespace in any operational environment.
Individual should have Acquisition and Project Manager experience and be able to look at product schedules in order to ensure that new capabilities are planned correctly to transition or integrate into products at appropriate phases in the products life cycle.
Must be able to work with personnel from Command, Power, and Integration Directorate to achieve goals.
