Business Intelligence Developer

DCI Donor Services is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team! This position will identify the data needs of the organization to create high quality and timely reports using SQL language and Business Intelligence tools. This will be a hybrid office/remote position.

Below are some of the key accountabilities this position will hold:

1. Collaborates with DCIDS leadership and teams to develop and maintain reports, dashboards, analytics, and data in support of the organizational goals.

1. Develops high quality, complex and timely reports, visualizations, dashboards, and documents to fulfill requests using Transact-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Service Reports (RDL) and Power BI.

1. Design and maintain complex ETL processes that load multiple data sources and data files via SSIS.

1. Able to troubleshoot and solve technical and data issues within SQL and ETL processes.

1. Maintains working knowledge of software development life cycle, data warehousing concepts/architecture, OLAP/OLTP databases and code versioning tools.

1. Maintains working knowledge of business processes and key metrics used in organizational operations and assists departments with use of available information to improve performance.

1. Assist with projects that progress through conceptual, logical, and physical modeling designs.

1. Responsible for working collaboratively and maintaining open communication with colleagues to ensure delivery of timely and accurate information.

1. Acts as a role model for all DCIDS by supporting, reinforcing, and exhibiting behaviors consistent with the DCIDS core values; selfless, hard-working, passionate, and dependable.
   
   
2. Perform additional duties as assigned.
   
   

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in a related position.
   
2. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with SQL and ETL. Knowledge of DDL commands and DML transactions. Experience with SQL Server databases in a business environment is preferred.
   
3. Minimum of two (2) year of experience working with BI technologies (SQL Server Reporting Services (SRSS), Microsoft Power BI or equivalent).
   
4. Ability to work well on a small, high functioning team and be able to communicate and collaborate effectively and professionally.
   
5. Must be able to provide excellent customer service and be able to work independently without direct supervision, while still being able to collaborate with team.
