Project Manager - Electrical/Construction/Maintenance Services

We are a dynamic, growing company providing public agencies with full service maintenance of their electrical infrastructure. We are known for our outstanding customer service and top tier technical staff. We are adding a new project manager position in our East Bay region and are looking for an individual that possesses the skills and abilities referenced below, with an emphasis on excellent customer service skills and aptitude. This is a full time position with a full benefits package.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Maintain existing customer relationships while actively cultivating new ones. Provide excellent customer service with clear communication and prompt responsiveness.
  • Interpret construction plans and specifications and provide take-offs.
  • Generate cost-estimates and proposals for projects varying in size and scope.
  • Follow-up with customers on a timely basis to ensure new project creation.
  • Create RFIs, process Change Orders, and perform T&M Tracking.
  • Establish and execute leadership by collaborating with both field staff and office staff to prioritize and effectively manage projects through completion.
  • Simultaneously manage and coordinate various projects on time and within budget.
  • Attend bid openings, pre-construction meetings, and field meetings with public and private officials, contractors, and consulting firms.
  • Issue subcontract agreements and carefully manage subcontractors.
  • Obtain necessary permits and verify that all regulations are met.
  • Pursue and develop new vendor and subcontractor relationships while diligently preserving existing ones.
  • Acquire, negotiate, and secure competitive price quotes for material, subcontractor work and rental equipment.
  • Order and receive project material by creating purchase orders, processing material submittals, administering shipping logistics, and inspecting material upon delivery.
  • Finalize project close-out and billings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, Business Administration or Construction Management focus is ideal, however relevant work experience will be considered.
  • 2-5 years experience in project management or project coordination in a fast paced, deadline driven work environment.
  • Experience creating proposals and subcontractor agreements, submitting bids, securing permits, and working with materials price lists.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Superb organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Solid proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and at least one CRM database.
  • Solid math skills/numbers aptitude.
  • Demonstrated ability working both independently and on an effective team.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Professional demeanor, appearance, and attitude.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $73,000.00 per year
