Job Description

Summary/Job Description:

The quality technician is responsible for quality inspection and auditing of manufacturing operations, component and finished goods as well as quality records, execute product activities and reconciles related records; assists in completing discrepancy corrective/preventative action; and assist with auditing of suppliers. Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections ensuring compliance to quality metrics and standards.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday : 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM

Duties and Requirements:

  • Reads and follows work instructions (SOP’s), conduct required auditing and inspection to QC standards.
  • Performs various levels of inspection: receiving, first article, in-process and finished product.
  • Inputs data pertinent to quality measurement database systems for capturing, analyzing, and providing timely and accurate reporting.
  • Determines from complex blueprint and specifications the dimensions, finishes, processes and methods of inspection. Precision measuring instruments (i.e.: CMM, calipers, micrometers), gauges, tools and set-up required for checking surfaces and variations.
  • Visually examines material or product for surface defects such as creasing, cracks, pits, discoloration, sunken face, pillowing, foam dents, foam-voids, etc.
  • Assists production operator’s with quality practices and procedures to train to standard.
  • Prepares rejection notices and disposition noting deviations from specifications on dimensions, finishes, surfaces, processes or quality.
  • Participates in weekly quality inspection and auditing sessions.
  • Leads cross-functional problem-solving teams and implement quality improvement tools and techniques using management and planning tools, quality tools, and preventive and corrective actions to overcome barriers to continuous quality improvements.
  • Complies and writes training materials and conducts training on quality control activities


The candidate must be able to work required overtime as needed. They must be able to work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues. And Other duties may be assigned as needed. The candidate must follow safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor, leads, and/or to safety. They must also follow work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards. He or she will follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements and maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements, rules, and regulations.
