Licensed Practical Nurse

A major leader in the healthcare industry located in Newport News, Virginia is seeking Licensed Practical Nurse to work with them at their Skilled Nursing Facility. We offer one of the most important professional things that you can give a nurse and that is a flexible work schedule especially during this extremely difficult time while we are dealing with this covid-19 pandemic. Having said this, our per-diem assignments allow you to choose what days and what shifts you would like to work. If you're a single parent or someone who need a less rigid work schedule in order to go back to school or even home school then this may be the employment opportunity for you. We have both part-time and Full-time positions, Weekly pay, direct deposit, flex schedules, credentialing assistance, payroll advances to get you started, and pay differential for weekends. This is a non-covid facility.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

· Provide nursing care to residents within the scope of practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse.

· Manage the staff to include nursing assistants.

· Responsible for coordination and direction of resident care.

· Assist Registered Nurse with completion of assessments, documentation, and data collection within scope of practice and acting timely on findings.

· Administers medications and completes treatments as directed.

· Observe and monitor resident’s condition and reports changes as appropriate.

· Maintain safety of all residents and employees.

· Responds appropriately to safety hazards and reports any issues to the appropriate person.

· Ensures that all staff follows the infection control policy and procedure.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

· Current LPN licensure in the state of Virginia.
