Program/Product Managers at D. E. Shaw Research collaborate with world-class engineers and scientists to coordinate projects, including the development of specialized supercomputers and proprietary software, aimed at achieving major scientific advances in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology. Our ANTON® supercomputers, which combine custom-designed hardware (including cutting-edge ASICs) and software, speed up molecular dynamics simulations by orders of magnitude and are designed in part to fundamentally transform the process of drug discovery. Successful hires will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day execution of technical projects, including hardware design, software development, and manufacturing, as well as managing relationships with vendors or other third parties. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that requires working closely with engineering leads and senior management on a variety of strategic, risk-mitigation, and infrastructure projects.
Ideal candidates will have a background in engineering and/or computer science, experience coordinating complex technical projects and/or interdisciplinary teams, as well as excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability.
