Business System Analyst
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Systems, the Business System Analyst will be a key member of a lean and high impact Tech organization dispersed in 4 sites and 2 Countries. You are an energetic Business System Analyst who is interested in delivering quality solutions to help our Finance organization drive customer satisfaction. You will be working in a cross-functional, fast-paced team environment focused on delivering value-added services that exceed customer expectations. You will also serve a critical role in partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care operations. This incumbent will be a passionate, talented analyst who has outstanding business acumen, intellectual curiosity, excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. You are a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to details) and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate as the partner primarily to the Finance organization and secondarily with Product, Sales, and Service, working with executives, managers, and professional services engineers, to drive various solutions for the company, as well as administer our Salesforce.com platform for them.
  • You will also be working on the future planning and migration from proprietary CRM to Salesforce and an ERP platform of choice and will continue to drive innovation with that team.
  • You will work closely with internal business partners to drive business strategy and process optimization, capture user requirements, and assist the IT development team in designing, testing, and implementing software solutions that meet the business’s needs.
  • Collaborate with the team to assess the cross-functional impacts of business decisions across the Salesforce platform and provide input on IT processes and procedures affecting the team Partner with the user community, including executives, to identify their business requirements; analyze business processes; analyze source data; produce functional specifications, data flows, and business rules; and assist with the implementation of those specifications
  • Help drive process improvements and recommend best practices on the SalesForce.com platform; leverage your knowledge of best practices to help our professional services organization utilize the platforms to maximize results
  • Drive the initiation, planning, requirements, design, test, and post-production phases of the solution development life cycle
  • Develop, document, and perform system, integration, and user acceptance tests
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting issues and coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Drive the periodic release cycles and work with business stakeholders to prioritize bugs and enhancements
  • Provide project management support for IT initiatives and projects
  • Participate in strategic planning with the professional services organization and help define global business processes, KPIs and measurements with our analytics team
  • Work with Product organization to help define the introduction of new media-based products to help enable revenue increase
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with at least 3 or more years supporting and administering Salesforce.com or Zuora or other cloud platforms
  • 2 years experience- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce from a Sales and Marketing perspective. Should understand the basics of cross-functional accounting, billing, and revenue recognition
  • Past work experience as a developer
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development
  • Proven problem resolution and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize and adapt quickly to change in high-pressure situations with minimal supervision required
  • Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated record of exceeding customer expectations
  • Solid business acumen; ability to understand and anticipate business needs in order to provide appropriate solutions
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and be able to negotiate if needed
  • Strong team player with excellent listening, interpersonal, facilitation, written, oral and communication skills; ability to effectively communicate concepts in both technical and user-friendly language to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
  • Ability to work with external vendors to resolve issues and manage project initiatives
  • Strong technical, problem resolution, and analytical skills; able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Experience working with cross-functional, dispersed teams
  • Demonstrated experience working with Agile Methodology
  • Salesforce.com Admin 201 or above certified is preferred
  • Experience working with the Tier 1 Finance Applications or Cloud-based Financial applications is preferred
  • A solid understanding of Accounting, Revrec, sales, and service processes is preferred
  • Demonstrated Business Analyst work with large scale applications that may include CRM and ERP solutions is preferred
  • Basic SQL and report development skills are preferred
  • Basic programming skills are preferred
  • Business process Flow and UML flow design skills are preferred
  • BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business
