Maintain and adhere to the Occupational Health Services SOPs, Clinical Condition Guidelines, and Standing Medication Orders.
Utilize the Nursing Process to meet the health care needs of facility Team Members.
Recognize and understand the legal implications of accountability including, but not limited to, assigning and supervising activities performed by the Registered Nurse.
Provide nursing care for occupational and non-occupational conditions based on the Clinical Condition Guidelines and Standing Medication Orders.
Provide emergency care/stabilization for injured Team Members and secure appropriate transportation as required.
Provide first aid treatment for minor injuries and illnesses.
Determine the need for referral to outside health care agencies as identified in the Clinical Condition Guidelines.
Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered per Standing Medication Orders and as ordered by a physician.
Schedule and/or perform assessments and COVID testing according to SOPs.
Collaborate with other health, safety, production, and human resource Team Members in a comprehensive approach to the Team Member’s health.
Communicate information regarding work-related injuries and illnesses to the Manager Nursing, Regional Case Manager, and the Workers’ Compensation Department as necessary.
Monitor the injured Team Member's condition, treatment, and progress on an on-going basis to evaluate the appropriateness of treatment and if the plan of care goals are being achieved and goals are still appropriate.
Participate in discussions with health care provider(s) and Team Member concerning Team Member's status, progress, treatment options, physical limitations, appropriateness of job placement, available resources, prognosis, etc.
Ensure any financial decisions related to a workers’ compensation case are directed to the client's Workers’ Compensation Department.
Facilitate communication between Team Member/family, health care provider(s), claims adjuster/examiner, and the company.
Collaborate with Operations Management, Human Resources, and Ergonomics to determine appropriate jobs that may be performed within Team Member's work restrictions.
