As a Territory Account Manager for treatment-resistant depression, you will be responsible for the implementation of VNS Therapy for Depression commercial strategy, tactics, and operations. Successful candidates will work in partnership with our Market Access/Reimbursement team to establish new accounts as well as engage existing VNS for Depression customers. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in the early stages of VNS Therapy for Depression business development. Your efforts will directly impact our future success in this market. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated with evidence of successful teamwork and collaboration, display independent thinking, enjoy problem-solving and solutions planning, possess robust interpersonal skills and have the capacity to interpret trends and data, translating the information into actions and improvements. This player/coach opportunity will also require up to 40% travel. Responsibilities Establish and build relationships with key accounts and key opinion leaders within the territory. Develop tactics and strategies that lead to a long-term commitment to key customers. Facilitate and appropriately support clinical infrastructure. Ensure customer needs are adequately met and build productive customer relationships. Be accountable for customer satisfaction and territory performance; daily accountability and quarterly revenue targets. Drive pipeline development and revenues through strategic targeting and effective time management. Collaborate with management and other team leaders to identify strategies to achieve sales goals and uncover new, high-value opportunities. Meet or exceed sales quotas on a quarterly and yearly basis. Appropriately optimize pipeline management to ensure sales plan is met. Provide accurate, ongoing reporting through the continuous update and maintenance of necessary reports in Salesforce.com. Regularly review all sales activities, targets, and strategies to maximize results. Engage with patient/family education to ensure full comprehension of the features and benefits of VNS Therapy for Depression including the clinical procedures and equipment used to facilitate and achieve optimum quality of life improvement. Ensure high-performance standards for one's self. Display a high level of consultative selling and negotiating skills. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our product, reimbursement environment, the TRD disease state, and related psychiatry and surgery marketplace. It is preferred for you to have 8 + years of successful selling experience in a medical field, preferably with a background in Depression or a consultative role (e.g., Neuroscience Sales, HIV Sales, Oncology Sales, Diabetes Sales), where daily accountabilities are established, measured and rewarded. You will need to possess a BS/BA degree, preferably in Marketing or Business. This opportunity maintains dual responsibilities; you will educate and build new business.
