VP of Quality Assurance

Location: Woodville, WI (relocation assitance is available)

Job Summary:
Lead our Quality Assurance department in support of the company's strategic plans and critical success factors. Develop and manage the resources within the department in a manner that leverages the combined efforts of our internal staff, manufacturing capabilities, supplier capabilities and customer requirements. Establish plans and provide direction to maximize the effectiveness of training, testing, trend analysis, statistical controls and process improvement.
This position reports to the President.

What You Will Be Doing
- Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable (LMA) individuals in the Quality group.

- Acts as a champion for Quality.

- Quality Systems Development Plan, establish & coordinate all aspects of the company's quality program such as developing and administering the programs, training and coaching employees, and facilitating change throughout the organization.

-Trend Analysis Assure that management review of the effectiveness and quallty Of the system and product occuis at planned frequencies, which result in continuous improvement.

- Customer Satisfaction Provide a system for and monitor warranty returns and quality issues that affect customer satisfaction of product and service. Plan and provide for continuous improvement of these areas within the quality system. Assure conformance to customer requirements.

-System Documentation Provide for the safeguard of system documents, to assure proper approval, control, distribution and compliance with current policies, procedures, requirements and instructions. Establish the company's record retention guidelines and assure compliance to them. Provides for scheduled internal auditing for compliance to the system assuring continuous improvement.

-Continuous Improvement Ensure the effective implementation of the company's preventative and coiiective action programs. Implementation includes root cause identification and assignment of responsibilities for implementation.

-Supplier Quality Conformance Plan, establish and provide a system for assuring that materials procured are in compliance with the companies requirements and expectations.
What You Need for this Position
-BS Degree with a major in Quality Assurance oi equivalent experience
-Knowledgable in major aspects of Quality Systems. (ie: ISO Standards, T.Q.M, S.P.C., Quality Planning, etc.)
-Has a worming knowledge of Manufacturing systems planning. (scheduling, process flow, MRP, costing, efficiency, productivity, utilization, D.L. & I.D.L. etc.)
-Has technical engineering courses or equivalent work experience.
-Has work experience in the electric motor manufacturing industry.
-Has at least 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment in Quality.
-Has mathematics baclcground in algebra, geometry, calculus and trigonometry.
-Capable of reading and interpreting blue prints and engineering specifications.
-Has working knowledge of basic inspection equipment with the ability to learn the operation of complex inspection equipment such as P.C. controlled C.M.M., comparator etc.
-Is Knowledgable in modern test and measurement techniques with the ability to develop test and inspection gages and methods.
-Computer literate with Word Perfect, Flow Charting, Quality softwaTe, etc.
-Strong in grammar and technical writing.
-Must have a service-oriented focus with an attention to detail and accuracy.
-Must be able to distinguish between colors.
-Must have the ability to operate basic inspection equipment like campers, micrometers, height gauges, electrical test meters, etc.
