Sr. Technical Program Manager
If you are a Sr. Technical Program Manager with experience, please read on! Were looking for an Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead and track product-related projects from concept through execution, documenting the product requirements, the product plan (schedule plus resource management and timelines), overseeing prototype allocations, ordering and receiving (non-production materials), and assisting with cross-functional deliverables. The role requires a highly organized mindset, a passion for driving multi-disciplinary projects, and an unparalleled ability to pull people together to make things happen. Our program schedules push the limits of what is physically possible. This requires you to be extremely detail oriented, identify real hard barriers and drive the cross-functional teams to execute quickly at high quality. You will aim to make our team efficient and effective while reducing ambiguity. Work is a demanding and fast-paced environment, so being selfmotivated and disciplined is critical. Managing the schedules, budget, and resources of projects requires an individual who is passionate about our mission and is focused on collaborative solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
" Manage cross-functional projects by providing project leadership and daily management through project life cycle for all assigned projects
" Track and manage cross-functional requirements
" Reviews and approving project plans
" Managing the Master Project Plan
" Communicate project schedules, status and potential risks
" Project Health Chart (dashboard)
" Achieves specific short-term goals
" Build and maintain strong relationships with the various cross-functional teams to ensure overall program alignment
" Synthesize and own report-outs, highlighting status, risks, mitigations and opportunities across all levels of management
" Proactively identify, prioritize and drive resolution of project issues and risks
" Identify and facilitate important cross-team interactions during development
" Maintain and build relationships with engineering and multidisciplinary internal groups and cross functionally with partners (Strategic Technology or JDM/CM)
" Proactively seek out and coordinate all technical and business information required from the numerous customers and stakeholders and transform this into a scope of work used to set a baseline program scope, cost and schedule
" Identify and track readiness of various key elements that ensure a successful release, for example, online documentation, support team readiness, localization
" Manage Key Compliance requirements and potentially all external testing
" Influence various teams without direct reporting structure
" Reporting and interfacing with Executive Level Management
What You Need for this Position
- Prototype
" Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience
" 6+ years of applicable program management in software/hardware integrated products
" Advanced project management skills, demonstrated application of project and program management fundamentals to complex engineering problems
" Hardware, software release experience using PLM systems, managing projects with excellent attention to detail
" Self-motivated, proactive and able to work under minimal supervision at detailed levels while taking account of interdependencies at higher levels
" Ability to effectively execute many projects and tasks in parallel
" Excellent communication and documentation skills with ability to understand complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan
" Ability to lead and take accountability for issue resolution involving many inter-dependencies
" Must be able to communicate well with cross-functional technical and non-techical team members, efficiently collaborate with team members to achieve project goals, and contribute positively to the engineering community environment
" A solid understanding of project management methodology (Agile vs Waterfall), software, hardware, and firmware development methodology and product life cycles
" Thrives under pressure and in ambiguous environment
" Ability to exercise technical judgment in solving software/hardware engineering challenges
" Ability to work long hours, evenings and weekends as needed by the projects
" Assess existing processes, structures and work continuously to improve them
" Strong organization and facilitation skills (requirements and design brainstorming sessions, progress and status meetings)


" PMP certification preferred
" Agile certification preferred
