--This position will support construction in the Education Sector. The Sr. CM will supervise the construction management team, which may consist of Construction Manager(s), Assistant CM(s), Field/Project Engineer(s), field administrative staff and other project staff as assigned.
What You Will Be Doing--This position will support construction in the Education Sector. The Sr. CM will supervise the construction management team, which may consist of Construction Manager(s), Assistant CM(s), Field/Project Engineer(s), field administrative staff and other project staff as assigned.
The chosen Sr. Construction Manager will be representing an ENR top rated CM Firm on projects in the Education Sector. In this role, you will be responsible for onsite leadership, coordination, and direction for construction management activities for multiple complex projects. The Sr. CM will closely monitor closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for turnover to the owner, including DSA closeout requirements.
What You Need for this Position8+ years of relevant Construction Manager experience and:
- Bachelors Degree (Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or similar)
- Prior experience with DSA + public projects in CA (specifically Higher Ed, Community College, or K-12)
- Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple project deadlines simultaneously
- Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling
- Knowledge and application of engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, and best practices
- Knowledge of construction building codes and building methods
- Ability to interpret plans/specs
- Prior experience managing subcontractors and vendors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and Excel
- Working knowledge of scheduling, estimating, and construction accounting software
- OSHA 30
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Certified Construction Manager PREFERRED
