We produce clean air alternative fuel systems and is looking for a Sales/BD manager to be the head of our sales department. Our ideal candidate will be working with the team to help increase sales. This position will have remote flexibility along with travel. This position will be party salary along with commission/bonuses.
Identify companies that are potential commercial partners, identify how A-1 can assist potential partners, and develop relationships to encourage future joint business
Manage sales team's day to day activities
Ensure sales reps are properly supported and trained to sell company fuel system products
Ensure sales reps are actively supporting existing customers
Ensure sales reps are actively scheduling and completing follow ups with potential clients and pursuing new business
Manage weekly sales meetings with entire sales team
Compose and present monthly reports summarizing all sales team activities to upper management
Comprehensively sell company fuel system products to new prospects and engage in expansion opportunities of current clients
Develop and maintain a database of prospects and assign follow up actions for each prospect to gain their business
Identify customers needs and how A-1 can help customer with their needs
Gain access to potential client decision makers and deliver professional presentations to prospective client's to gain overall agreement to select A-1 as partner
Manage and support relationships with current customers
In-person visits to potential and current customers
Attend regional and national events that pertain to the alternative fuel industry
Minimum of 5 years of management experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation industry
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Strong organizations skills responsible, disciplined individual
Ability to establish priorities and meet objectives
Ability to analyze customer issues and challenges and develop effective sales and closing strategies
High level of determination, initiative, perseverance and resiliency
Strong communication/customer service skills - enthusiastic, energetic individual
Ability to train sales staff, and to build and manage a multi functional team
Must be willing to learn open minded individual
Must have computer skills intermediate use of Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook)
Must have ability to travel throughout United States and Canada (approx. 25% of time)
