Virtual Brand Ambassador (Portland, Oregon) Job Description Job Summary The Virtual Brand Ambassador (VBA) is responsible for building awareness of our in-home design service for all retail stores within a specified geography. The VBA engages with store management and store associates to help us maintain channel relationships, educate our channel partners on updates and grow sales via phone and email contact. In addition, the Virtual Brand Ambassador ensures store signage and displays are in good condition, engages with store associates to build awareness of our program, and conducts virtual training for store associates.
Ideal candidates are driven, outgoing, personable, and have the skills to build positive brand awareness through virtual interactions (phone, webinar and email correspondence). The VBA will work independently and have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to train store associates on product/promotions. Performance will be measured by increasing leads and sales for the assigned stores.
This position reports directly to the Director of Channel Management but will interface with the Regional Sales Managers on a regular basis. Essential Job Functions Generate highly qualified leads for our in-home design consultants Build and maintain a positive business relationship with store associates and management to influence and achieve outstanding business results Train store associates on the products and services offered through our in-home service Attract customer interest, creating a sense of urgency and building confidence in our in-home design program Maintain and communicate product specifics Provide promotional information and product and/or service related materials Communicate with store management to discuss opportunities Maintain displays, including but not limited to brochure replenishment, promotion placement, removal of dated materials and/or products and cleanliness Process and transmit digital photo records as needed for display compliance records Be a champion to increase leads and sales for the assigned stores Collaborate with CDI Region Sales Manager, Director of Channel Management and Marketing Department to ensure goals are being met Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Job Skills and/or Abilities Continuously learn new products and effectively articulate their specific features and benefits General computer and web competency: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), database familiarity CRM system knowledge, Sales Force a plus An entrepreneurial, competitive drive and the ability to self-motivate and succeed Strong communication skills and ability to present yourself, the products and company effectively Must be comfortable with heavy phone work on a daily basis Ability to develop, maintain, and foster relationships from a remote setting A strong sense of professionalism, honesty, respect and a clear grasp of business ethics A positive attitude and ability to thrive as part of a changing and evolving team Ability to engage and influence a diverse population Highly motivated to achieve strong business results Extremely organized, detail-oriented team player Proven ability to set priorities to meet the goals and objectives of the business Skilled at establishing relationships with energy and enthusiasm over the phone Education and/or Experience Computer skills including email and on-line high-speed access Minimum of 2 years retail marketing, merchandising or sales experience Experience working in a customer focused environment required Job Conditions Office environment with business-casual/casual attire Routine usage of multiple computer screens simultaneously FSLA non-exempt status; regular business hours include Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week On occasion required to exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week May require bending, stooping, lifting up to 35 pounds Travel Job may require travel occasional travel within the United States (not to exceed 5%) Back
