Industrial Electrician - Must be a licensed Electrician

Job Summay:

The purpose of the industrial electrician is to test, troubleshoot, install, and/or repair the electrical components of the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work as a team member or alone to complete projects.
• Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes.
• Make decisions based on technical documents.
• Read and understand the National Electrical Code, schematics, blueprints and other technical documents.
• Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC motors & circuits, VFD’s, PLC’s
• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices.
• Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.
• Program crane pendant controller for automated machinery to operate, test for malfunctions, and verify repairs.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed electrician.
• Completion of a four year electrical apprenticeship program accredited and approved by the United States Department of Labor.
• One year spent as a journeyman electrician or the completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
• Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
• Must be willing and flexible to do overtime for coverage even on short notice.
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
