Curry Community Health is looking to hire a Mental Health Therapist. This is a telehealth (WORK FROM HOME), full time position offering health benefits (medical, dental, vision), holiday pay, paid time off as well as life insurance and 403b. Seeking candidates located in Jackson, Josephine, or Lane County.
The Mental Health Therapist assesses, diagnoses, and treats, mental illness. He or she assists in the recovery process of individuals dealing with psychological, emotional and behavioral problems and provides timely counseling to them. The therapist provides individual, family and group psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and children using evidence-based practices (EBP’s) focused on strengths, recovery and wellness.
Some Responsibilities include:
Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments that result in and support a diagnostic problem list using DSM-5.
Listen, observe and engage the individual in planning needed services and supports that will guide and sustain treatment.
Meet with individuals regularly to counsel and assist them in making informed decisions about themselves, their lives and relationships.
Meet with couples and families to teach communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Provide group therapy to assist individuals to communicate, learn social skills, experience self-discovery in relation to others and develop supportive networks.
Teach skills that enable individuals to better cope with symptoms of illness and stress; loss, grief and trauma; family conflict and intimate relationships; performance problems at work and school; and problems exacerbated by addictions.
Work Location: Virtual. Normal working hours/days are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding paid holidays.
Graduate from an accredited Masters Level program in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field. Designation as a QMHP in the state of Oregon. Licensed as an LPC, LMFT or LCSW by the respective Oregon Licensing Board. At least two years of progressively responsible experience in the mental health field.
Has a strong set of diverse clinical skills including experience and proficiency in EBP. A thorough understanding of addictions theory and practice including the ability to diagnose addiction disorders and refer to treatment resources. The individual in this position will maintain a thorough knowledge of the scope of mental health services; Medicaid regulations and compliance issues; practices, procedures, and therapeutic process; and medical record keeping practices.
Must possess a current Oregon driver’s license, pass a pre-employment drug test, and pass a criminal background check required by the State of Oregon.
Must be able to provide telehealth services in a private, clean, appropriate space.
Pay Range: $55,000 to $68,000 annual salary (based on license)
