Software Developer - Curiosity Inc.

DUTIES:

Work with the Director of Engineering and the UX team to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility. Lead architecture and design of new and current systems, from conception to launch. Implement functionalities in existing apps to optimize operational efficiency leveraging engineering best practices. Troubleshoot and fix bugs, customize and maintain web apps to ensure rich customer experience. Write tests to increase our software’s resiliency. Write and update technical documentation. Owning the development of entire frontend features and collaborate with team members across disciplines (UX, backend, DevOps) to produce quality code.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a directly related field and 2 years of experience in position offered or related. Must have 2 years of experience with: developing high performant, scalable web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and Libraries, such as React, Redux, Typescript as well as HTML and CSS; developing backend services and APIs in JavaScript run time environments including Nodejs, REST API, and NoSQL DB; working with Linux and cloud environments including AWS Lambda, SNS, SQS, EC2, and CloudWatch; leveraging unit testing libraries to improve application reliability; developing mobile applications using React Native; utilizing data structures and algorithms; participating in designing an architecture of microservices. Telecommuting permitted.
