Project Manager - Data Center Division

Kuna, Idaho

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to work on world-class multi-year projects for a high-profile client, with a total financial scope of nearly one billion dollars. These complex builds require creative solutions and a best-in-class team. Position Summary: Project Managers are responsible for managing Cupertino Electric Inc.'s projects in line with CEI's goals, financial parameters, and within the project's timeline and specification with the purpose of optimizing revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. PMs are responsible for developing the project execution plan. Project Managers are expected to continuously manage and review progress to goals and project plans - Identify gaps in plans and initiate recovery action plans.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain effective relationships with customers and partners
  • Provide a working real-time example, and champion CEI's Commitment to Safety
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Establish a project execution plan and execute/manage the staff to those specs
  • Action plan to provide solutions for any problems
  • Provide and monitor the Risk Assessment Plan
  • Stay connected to the project from beginning to end
  • Collaborate with CEI groups to bid & execute
  • Work with Production/CIG/Customer to meet project plan objectives
  • Coordinate with Purchasing
  • Maintain Business Information System, and Document Control
  • Use Information System to track project and pipeline status - focus on key problems
  • Assist in training/development of new hires assigned to support projects
  • Continue education and learning for career advancement

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree preferred although not required.
  • 8 or more years of large complex construction project management experience including working on projects with budgets over 20 million dollars in the electrical scope
  • Prefer Data Center or similar mission-critical experience
  • Professional written and oral communication skills.
  • Estimating experience preferred
  • Preference for candidates with knowledge of MS Projects. Accubid, P-6, and JD Edwards experience a plus
  • Experience with Design/Build, pricing and equipment productivity, derivation of labor rates, take off from plans and specs
  • Familiar with GMP contracts
