Position Summary

Responsible for providing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Assesses user needs and is able to solve a range of problems. Provides installation of new equipment and performs equipment modifications or enhancements. Prepares and maintains documentation for processes for policies and procedures related to computer systems and operations.


DAYS - 8-hour shift between 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, Workdays Vary

Training is up to eight weeks on the DAY shift required


  • Contributes to the completion of major programs and projects and may provide guidance to less-experienced Systems Technicians.
  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and may provide guidance to less-experienced Systems Technicians.
  • Provides installation and troubleshooting support of a wide range of highly complex issues for systems applications and related peripheral hardware.
  • Provides incident response and performs complex customer support tasks.
  • Deploys all new hardware, software, and the upgrade of existing installations.
  • Prepares and maintains all documentation for processes and procedures related to computer systems and operations.
  • May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
  • May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)

Education/Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP)
  • And one of the following certifications: CompTIA A+ CE, HDI-CSR (Customer Service Representative), HDI-SCD (HDI Support Center Director), HDI-SCA (HDI Support Center Analyst), ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Office 365

Required Qualifications

  • Experience to troubleshoot, installing, and supporting the configuration of hardware devices such as workstations, monitors, printers, peripherals, servers, network equipment, cables labeling mobile devices, and associated software.
  • Experience with site surveys to develop technical solutions that meet requirements and capabilities.
  • Knowledge to make recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirements.
  • Ability to mentor less experienced technicians.

Clearance Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; must be able to obtain and maintain CI Polygraph.
