The Account Executive is responsible for growing new customer acquisition of Crunchy Data’s products and services, with a primary focus on new logos for Crunchy Bridge, our PostgreSQL managed cloud services. To be successful, the ideal candidate will own the full sales cycle by engaging with customers continually throughout their adoption of Crunchy Data’s products and services, will generate and maintain active engagements with customers and prospects, and will consistently meet and exceed sales quotas.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Win opportunities by driving the right customer solutions resulting in continuous growth of Crunchy Product and Services adoption
  • Work effectively in a highly collaborative and fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Follow-up with leads in your assigned territory using relevant messaging via phone, email, and video conferencing
  • Build a pipeline via outbound prospecting
  • Maintain an accurate, robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities within Salesforce
  • Understand the technical requirements and certifications specific to the prospect or customer
  • Manage and accelerate the sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, and progressing them through a consultative sales cycle
  • Set a strategic sales plan for your territories in line with the Crunchy’s strategic direction
  • Prepare and provide weekly pipeline reviews to the senior management team
  • Occasional travel may be required

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals in a start-up environment
  • New logo sales hunter who can prospect and source leads to close new business
  • Must be competitive, persistent, and self-disciplined with a track record of managing time efficiently and meeting personal goals, while working remote
  • Must be a team player
  • 3+ years minimum technical, B2B sales experience in a solution-sales / cloud technology environment
  • Proactive with a positive mindset with strong communication skills
  • Experience with prospecting and opportunity development using tools such as, LinkedIn Navigator, and Clearbit
  • BA/BS degree or relevant experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud database or data integration technologies
  • Knowledge of Open-Source Database such as PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Developer Tools
  • Track record working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
