A leading distributor and fabricator of insulation and materials for fire protection and refractory applications as well as industrial supplies including janitorial, materials handling, lighting, electric power tools, power tools and even personal protective equipment in Hammond, IN is looking for experienced Client Service Reps.
This position provides effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as team members within the organization.
These are 1st shift temp to perm positions, 8am-4:30pm. Pay will start at $16/hour.
What you will be responsible for:
-Interact with customers to establish ongoing relationships.
-Manage all aspects of customer relationships from quotation through payment of invoices.
-Work with branch customers to solve payment issues to lower branch DSO.
-Become a reliable resource to customers and co-workers on sales order status and information.
-Show initiative by identifying and analyzing problems and proposing acceptable solutions.
What will you do:
-Receive sale calls, quotation requests, faxes, mail, EDI, email, and will-call orders
-Provide inventory and pricing information
-Coordinate with outside sales, purchasing, billing, management, and warehouse customer issues..
-Enter/process delivery ticket/shop orders.
-Produce and negotiate customer quotations and proposals
-Contact customers concerning late payments, invoicing issues, and other issues involving credit and receivable items for branch assigned accounts.
-Assist outside sales in order processing and customer services.
-Quote follow-up and track lost sales reports as well as expediting all customer inquiries and orders.
-Process credit card transactions.
-Assist will call customers in placing orders.

What you must have:
-1 to 2 years of customer service experience
-1 to 2 years of sales experience
-Strong communication, organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
-Solid problem solving and consultative skills required
-Ability to work in a fast-paced team sales environment with minimal supervision.
-Experience with MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word
-Dependability and ability to learn quickly.
