Speech - Language Pathologist ( SLP )

We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist. SLP Responsibilities • Perform speech assessments for new students (3-year evaluations and initial assessments). • Use best practices in speech-language pathology and applied behavior analysis. • Collaborate with Crossroads staff, consultants, school districts, and families. • Plan and implement daily speech programming. • Develop speech and language goals, objectives, and service delivery. • Analyze speech data and make program changes in a timely fashion when needed. • Participate in student day, IEP, staff, consistency, analysis, and training meetings. • Review Progress Reports for each student, quarterly. • Program student augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems. • Train staff and Team members on the proper use and programming of student AAC systems. • Supervise SLPAs in the completion of their responsibilities. SLP Physical Requirements In order to complete the CALM course and become certified, participants must successfully perform the following maneuvers. • Pivots • Knee squats • Shuffling backwards and forwards • Supporting weight • Stand from a kneeling position while supporting student weight (without pushing off the ground/stabilizing hands on the ground) • Remain in kneeling position for an extended period of time • A descending lunge while carrying weight SLP Requirements • Must be enthusiastic, positive, and love working with children! • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for at least two years required. • Current Massachusetts licensure in Speech-Language Pathology. • Knowledge and experience with ABA-based treatment of autism. • Knowledge and experience with the programming and implementation of AAC preferred. • Must have good organizational skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills, and be eager to learn new skills. • Must have strong attention to detail and have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information. • Proof of immunizations required.
