Crisis Response Network, Inc. is an award-winning nonprofit that operates a 24/7 crisis line serving Maricopa county as well as Northern Arizona.  Our mission is to Inspire Hope through our talented and compassionate staff.

Since 2007, CRN has been providing crisis contact center services and in that short time has helped thousands of individuals and families connect to the help they need. Additionally, in that short timeframe, CRN has grown to expand services to a peer-run Warm Line, Serious Mental Illness (SMI) determinations, mobile team dispatches, crisis transportation services, emergency room-based assessments, Department of Child Safety (DCS) rapid response and crisis stabilization services, telephone follow-up to those who need it, tragedy support lines and other in-kind services to the community.

 

WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?

 

Implement the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) software in the community by planning, designing, testing, troubleshooting, documenting and implementing all facets of the software system and team processes. Responsible for training and supporting all agencies and users in the system.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Troubleshoot, prioritize and resolve complex issues that arise in the HMIS software and reporting tools. Provide support to and training to Customer Support Representative(s). 
  • Provide advanced technical software and reporting support to network homeless non-profit and government agencies and users. Complete new agency on-boarding, project setup, customization and training. 
  • Coordinate, lead and ensure proper training for all agencies and users of the HMIS software. This includes preparing and conducting in-person trainings (both local and throughout the state of AZ) as well as preparing and conducting online trainings, producing reference materials, maintaining the HMISAZ.org website and providing ongoing support to users. 
  • Identify, lead, manage and complete assigned system projects to enhance the HMIS software and maintain compliance with federal requirements. 
  • Participate in Homeless Continuum of Care community initiatives and participate in contract management. Build and maintain relationships with primary contacts and homeless non-profit and government agencies. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HMIS software, HUD HMIS data standards, data dictionary and reporting requirements 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree: Information Technology, Social Work, Public Administration or related field
  • Knowledge of Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) implementation and data integration solutions.
  • Working knowledge of federal Homeless Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing (HEARTH);
  • Strong verbal and written communication;
  • Comfortable presenting and training groups of various sizes;
  • Effectively work with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds;
  • Ability to navigate the HMIS and problem-solve
  • Strong proficiency with computers
  • Fingerprint Clearance card required

 

This position may require up to 10% traveling. Access to a vehicle required, must maintain at least minimum State-Required Auto Insurance
